Have a shape that can't be stamped?
Let's explore whether Fontana Blow can make it real. Tell us your sector and we'll send you the right brochure to start the conversation.
Fontana Blow (also known as Fontana Blow Forming or Fontana Blowforming) is a patented aluminium hot forming process developed by Fontana Group — Fontana Pietro S.p.A., founded in 1956 in Calolziocorte (Lecco), Italy. Using pressurised gas, the process pushes heated aluminium sheet into deep die cavities, exploiting the superior ductility at temperature of special aluminium alloys (5XXX series, 7XXX series, and Crossalloy). Fontana Blow achieves drawing depths up to 150% greater than conventional cold stamping, on parts up to 3200 × 1600 × 600 mm, and is used to manufacture structural aluminium components and aluminium Class A bodywork for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, and for aerospace, yachting, transportation, biomedical, and design and architecture applications.
Shaping aluminium beyond its limits.
A patented hot forming process that creates deep, complex features in aluminium. Using gas under pressure, Fontana Blow unlocks the maximum ductility of special alloys — enabling utmost daring shapes impossible with cold stamping.
and others
Where traditional cold stamping meets its limits, Blow Forming takes over. Pressurised gas pushes heated aluminium into the die, exploiting the superior ductility of special alloys to reach depths and geometries otherwise unreachable.
The result: lighter, stronger, and visually uncompromising components — from structural parts to aluminium Class A bodywork.
A glimpse of components produced with Fontana Blow — deep draws, sharp transitions and Class A surfaces in a single piece.

Every parameter of the Blow Forming process is tuned to push aluminium further — materials, size, depth, and delivery.
A new design space for designers and engineers who refuse to compromise on geometry.
Designed for sectors where aluminium must combine structural performance with visual excellence.
Load-bearing aluminium parts with deep, intricate geometries — reducing weight without compromising stiffness.
Outer body panels with surface quality ready for painted finish — bold lines, sharp transitions, clean surfaces.
Special alloys engineered for maximum ductility at temperature — the perfect match for gas-pressure forming.
Wherever aluminium meets ambitious design, Fontana Blow unlocks new possibilities — from premium mobility to human-scale craftsmanship.
Superstructures and hull details where weight, stiffness and surface quality matter equally.
Fuel tanks and shrouds with deep draws and visually demanding surfaces in a single part.
Structural aluminium components where light weight meets zero-compromise geometry.
High-speed rail and e-mobility panels that combine aerodynamic lines with structural integrity.
Precision enclosures and instrument bodies where hygiene, finish and complex forms converge.
Signature facades, furniture and installations that turn sculptural ambition into aluminium.
Fontana Blow was born to push aluminium past its limits — but the same hot gas-pressure process unlocks deep, complex geometries in magnesium and titanium alloys, wherever weight, temperature resistance or biocompatibility become critical.
